Summer School Electronics' lates is the fine gold hued Double Major Dual Channel Klone Overdrive - with both Hard and Soft Clipping

A simple idea - beautifully elegantly executed!

This is one of the most attractive Summer School pedals to date. Some of that brand’s pedal aesthetics are a little ’scrap book’ in nature. While the Double Major looks particularly attractive - with a gorgeous gold hued sparkle enclosure - finished off nicely with some really cool graphics.

Essentially a Double Klone pedal - with independent stackable channels - where on each one you can select either Hard or Soft Clipping.

For my recent NRG Effects Gnawer Rat Style Distortion - its 3 new Soft-Clipping Modes were an absolute revelation. You typically get even more harmonic and more open textures.

Controls - CHANNEL 1 } Gain, Volume, Tone, Clipping : Hard / Soft; Channel 2 } Volume, Gain, Clipping : Hard / Soft, Tone.

I really like the look of this one! I would have preferred it in portrait format, but can really see the appeal here.

For sure a pretty cool addition to the Klon landscape. You also had the Cornerstone Centurio Dual Channel Klone recently - but those are A/B channels - the core plus a sort of Hot Boost.

Props to Summer School for their excellent execution here. I feel the Double Major has heaps of appeal, and should do really well.
