So this new H9 is essentially a fully-loaded Single Core variant of the H90. The larger H90 predecessor allows you to deploy 2 x Stereo Effects simultaneously - and hence is referred to as a Dual-Core Multi-Effects Processor. Where the new Gen 2 H9 has all the same key features and functions as the H90 - but can only deploy a single Stereo Effect at a time - hence Single-Core.
The original unit had a cool looking but pretty useless onboard interface - which was mostly saved by the Bluetooth...
So Zorg has been around for 10 years now, and I’ve kind of covered them on and off for the last 8! - starting with their Zogverdrive. Most recently I’ve featured their Glue Fuzz and Love Philter - both of which feature in the anniversary editions - where only typically 5 are available of each unique Collaborative Artwork Edition, and 7 for the Colère et Bagarre Glue Fuzz MKII Edition.
You can read up on the Glue Fuzz and Love Philter features on this site!
Here are the 6 editions :
Freqscene has evolved a pretty cool new Drive pedal - which combines elements of Cocked-Wah and the balancing of Clean and Wet / Distorted Signals. The Gain switch gives you 2 levels of gain - in a lower / higher fashion.
The Humans Drive covers a variety of sounds - including of course elements of Mick Ronson and QOTSA - depending on where you set the Sweep and Clean Blend.
The Drunk Beaver Forest Song uses a resonant filter to similar great effect. And I have at lease a couple of ...
I’m a huge Maiden fan - and it’s cool to see a CryBaby in Eddie livery. I’m not 100% clear why the Killers Album Artwork was selected Here. Like most fans I place Poweslave as the greatest Maiden album - but there are lists with Killers at the top. I much prefer Powerslave over Killers by some margin and for a variety of reasons - while there are plenty of killer tracks on both.
So Dunlop have borrowed the Killers artwork for this signature Iron Maiden CryBaby. The actual CryBaby variant is...

To coincide with Greuter Audio’s attendance at this year’s Mannheim Guitar Summit, Sacha has announced pre-orders for his 10 Year Anniversary Editions of his well-loved ’Edge of Breakup’ Fuller Drive.
The previous editions had 4 knobs - per the below demo of the previous model. While the new Editions get an additional control knob each, as follows :
10 BOOST Controls - DRIVE } Drive, Volume, Tone, Drive Footswitch; BOOST } Boost, Range, Boost Footswitch
10 WAH! Controls - DRIVE } ...
It’s great news that Dr. No is reissuing its iconic Holy Wahcamoly Wah - here in 10th Anniversary Flocked Edition, Not just the pedal enclosure is fully flocked - but the red chicken-head knob is too! A really cool version of this pedal. And whenever I see the Wahcamoly I can’t but help call to mind the JAM Pedals Wahcko also - which is equally colourful and flavourful.
Those are two the very best full-flavour Wah pedals with the same degree of attention to detail - focused on the exterior ...
So we have new versions of two of my favourite pedals - the Dahlia is very minorly iterated - seemingly just a sort of internal / firmware update as none of the surface controls / labels are changed on the new iteration. We get a new Kill Dry Option which I rarely use anyway, a 6th Preset Option, and the ability to set 3 different Expression Presets versus just 1 per my original V1 version. All those additions are kind of nice to have for me, while I’m not really going to miss them if I go ...
If you’re a fan of David Gilmour and Pink Floyd, then JAM Pedals’ has long had the Pink Flow combination pedal on its roster - which beautifully combines all those essential effects needed to replicate that band’s core sound (€999 / $999 / £869). The Pink Flow give you 7 effects at a significant discount - as those 7 effects individually would accumulatively amount to €1,753 (€229 + €229 + €229 + €259 + €279 + €229 + €299) - so a saving of €754 or 43%.
These are the 7 core effects included :

So these 14 are some of the pedals that continue to evade capture for me. Most of these are discontinued and were only made in very limited numbers. Some of these are small batch productions - like the GNI Octa Fuzz and Iron Ether FrantaBit. And some are also impossible to get outside their country of manufacture. Some of these I’ve been chasing for nearly a decade so far.
Many of you will be familiar with my quest for the Blakemore Effects Deus Ex Machina OpAmp Muff - where I tracked down...
