This one has been a long time coming - and the wait has been so well worth it - as the final edition exceeds all expectations!

This post has been a long time in the making - 3 days solid - with just a few hours of sleep overnight! I feel it might be my best coverage yet - for a nigh perfect show.

This time around pretty much everything went of perfectly - I was out the door very early in the morning - and at the Brighton Racecourse by 07:45! Phil had set up his Pedal Patch stand the night before - as had Paul from Flattley Pedals, and my good friends Wub from Ritual Devices and Rob from Timber Tones has just recently ...

At one stage there was a 50/50 chance as to whether I would make the show - as there were significant disruptions on the Liverpool Street to Norwich line - which meant a bus replacement service between Colchester and Ipswich. Some of the journey times quoted were up to 4 and a 1/2 hours each way! In the end the door-to-door was closer to 3 hours in total! The journey up including the coach was actually more fun that the journey back via Cambridge. Cambridge has obviously sinned grievously as ...

So this story starts back in September of 2024 - where I was one of the first to receive the new Universal Series Fuzzer and Purrer pedals - with those Raw Aluminium Enclosures.

Just a few weeks later, Neil developed a new polishing / buffing technique that brought a satin sheen to those pedals and made then look even more striking - and better matches to those knob insert discs - which carry the labels. So a quick second Woking Show in the same year - for reasons I will endeavour to explain. A bittersweet moment for me as I have really loved the Fiery Bird venue - it’s a great setting for these kinds of events - and so close to the town centre - just 5 minutes or so form the main Woking Train Station. The reason Jason brought the 2nd show forward is that the council has taken back the licence for the building - with a view to redeveloping the premises - so presumably demolition beckons - which...

Brighton is normally one of the easiest shows to attend - usually just an hour Journey from London Victoria to Brighton Station. But on this day - when I got to Victoria - it had been announced that all trains to Brighton had been cancelled owing to a landslide near Purley.
