The ParaEQ MKII Deluxe (for Guitar) is my favourite ever EQ pedal - and has pretty much been welded to my board since it very first emerged. And now Bass players can feel the same degree of joy - with their very own dedicated version of ParaEQ - with the frequency clusters changed and fully honed for those killer low-end Bass Tones.

And there are some further enhancements we guitar players don’t have - including Auto sensing / detection of TS and TRS connections and Hi-Impedance sensing too - both with status indicator LEDs.

This is a precision surgical device - which allows you to very specifically and granularly carve out and fully shape your frequency output. And the +30dB Boost is an excellent utility to have onboard - and a real bonus.

Controls - Balanced Out Status LED, Hi-Impedance Status LED, Low Q, Mid Q, High Q, Low Freq : 35 > 100hz, Mid Freq : 100 > 1,6k, High Freq : 375 > 9.7k, Low Gain ±15dB, Mid Gain ±15dB, High Gain ±15dB, High Pass : 10 > 200Hz, ±15dB Low Shelf, ±15dB High Shelf, Low Pass : 215 > 22k, Boost > 30dB, Boost Footswitch, Boost Bypass.

I have extensive experience with the blue deluxe version - and I find it the finest instrument of its type - easy to deploy and effortless to dial in. This can be used as subtle or forcefully as you need - with beautifully tapered and predictable impact.

The ParaEQ MKII Bass is available right now for $374 from the Empress Effects Webstore - it’s an incredibly sophisticated device!
