A simple overview of the Valeton GP-50 Multi-Effects Processor SnapTone and IR Loader

I had meant to acquire the GP-5 - but since this expanded range edition came out - it made more sense to get this one - it has a little more about, and a more elegant interface. Like the GP-5 it also has a neat Bluetooth app, while you can seemingly get to most things via the pedal interface. This one has only just landed for me - so I’ve only just scratched the surface so far - but I am really liking it already!

Controls - 3 x quick access Parameters, Core Parameters Rotary / Menu Select, Save Button, Global Settings Button, Save + Global is Power On, Exit / Bluetooth Button, Drum Button, A Footswitch, B Footswitch, Quick A+B is Tuner, A+B Hold for Looper.

To bypass the pedal - you need to activate the tuner element - and make sure that the mode is set to ’Bypass’ (left in-context control) - so you just hit the two footswitches simultaneously to bypass or engage the pedal - very elegant!

For the Boss GT-1000 Core - I needed to create a blank preset with nothing applied - to be able to bypass that pedal, and it doesn’t have an Analog Bypass like the GP-50 - where the Analog Bypass is the default option!
