Key Points
Fuzzlord’s Nazareth Doomy Octave Distortion is a mid‑size shrink of the heavier original, sitting squarely in the Octave Fuzz/Octave Distortion camp as a high‑gain, crushing doomy distortion.
Controls and features: Active Bass, Active Mids, Active Treble, Volume, Gain, Octave Boost Level, Bypass Footswitch and Octave Boost Footswitch; 3‑Band Active EQ with an optional Octave Boost that has its own level control. The larger unit’s artwork has been adapted for this striking smaller pedal.
Price and availability: priced at $265 and currently sold out on the Fuzzlord webstore; another batch is expected. Demos and recap sections are included. For electrical work or modification, consult a qualified tech.
I’m a significant fan of Octave Fuzz and Octave Distortion Pedals - my recent Holy Island Angel Teeth and Micro Mountain Mover, and the exceptional Blue Colander Grimrobe are all excellent example of that genre. And the Nazareth slots in beautifully - as a high gain crushing doomy distortion.
Controls - Active Bass, Active Mids, Active Treble, Volume, Gain, Octave Boost Level, Bypass Footswitch, Octave Boost Footswitch.
A very straightforward pedal with extended shaping via 3-Band Active EQ and optional Octave Boost - with is own level control.
The artwork from the larger original has been beautifully adapted here - it looks a very striking pedal.
I’m not sure the conjoint pricing analysis wholly holds up at $265 - but it’s still a decent price for a potent pedal. Right at this moment those seem to be sold out on the Fuzzlord Webstore - but I’m sure there will be another batch along pretty soon.
I’m certainly pretty tempted here. This is the kind of pedal I really gravitate towards.
Stay tuned for further updates! I typically lean more into the high gain stuff coming into the Autumn season - in particular in the lead up to Halloween.
A very compelling Doomy Octave Distoriton indeed!
