Sunhaus' second Colourway Series - the Djandek Geological Fuzz embraces sonic breakdown and disintegration courtesy of smart Disintegration Bias and Slump Input Gain Controls

Sunhaus’ Djandek Geological Fuzz is Marcus’s second Colourway Series pedal, massively evolved from a Zonk Machine. It keeps Volume and Clean Blend from the Ballam and adds expansive Disintegration (Bias) and Slump (Input Gain) controls.
Bias: Max clockwise = Full‑On; wind back for Starve. Slump/Input Gain: Max saturation fully CCW, and attenuates as you crank it up. Mix in Clean Blend and lower Input Gain for Drive/Fuzzy Drive; Bias at Max with Input Gain fully CCW gives searing Fuzz.

Marcus’s second pedal is as equally textured as the first, but with a very different emphasis. Massively evolved from a Zonk Machine, it has the same Volume and Clean Blend controls as the Ballam, but then mixes things up further with expansive Disintegration Bias, and Slump Input Gain control.
You can go from thick and full-bodied Fuzz and Drive sounds, to starved and fractured decay.
The Bias is at its Max Clockwise - wind back for Starve!, and the Slump Input Gain it at Max Saturation fully CCW, and attenuates as you crank it up.
Controls - Disintegration (Bias : Starve > Full-On), Volume, Clean Blend, Slump (Input Gain : Max > Attenuate).
Mixing in the clean Blend and lowering the Input Gain very much takes you into Drive and Fuzzy Drive territory, and obviously with Bias at Max, and Input Gain fully CCW you get wonderful searing Fuzz.
Marcus has a knack for looking at classic fuzz circuits from an entirely different angle - very much focused on textural variation and versatility. The Djandek is about breaking with tradition and breaking up your output voicings - roughing up you fuzz as such!
Both the Ballam and Djandek sound excellent - and have a wonderfully expansive range of tones and textures onboard. What I would call a tweaker’s delight!
Marcus sent me both the key source pictures - which I obviously cut out, re-touched, and applied to suitably textured backgrounds. I really like the Grey Hammertone edition for the Ballam, and the Soft Pink version looks excellent for the Djandek. I would be quite happy to secure both in their pictured colourways!
