Key Points

These Go To 11 is the lead Stockholm dealer for DanDrive. Dan Querner is meticulous and largely anonymous; DanDrive (German) pedals are high-end, commonly in the $500–$600 range and widely stocked on Reverb and select dealers.

Joey Landreth Bonk Machine 2 (Zonk) — Fuzz Gain, Level, Mids Switch, Bias. As of 13 July 2026, the price was £640 (listed $640).
Joey Landreth Dog Ear Bonk Machine 2 (purple) — same controls. As of 13 July 2026, the price was £595 (listed $595).
Tweedy Overdrive — Level, Drive, Tone. As of 13 July 2026, the price was £585 (listed $585).
Vocoder (Ry Cooder style) Fuzzy-Drive — Level, Drive. As of 13 July 2026, the price was £595 (listed $595).

’These Go To 11’ is one of the select Dealers whose site I regularly check out each and every week, and where I first encountered DanDrive pedals in late 2018, before connecting directly with Dan Querner himself in early 2019. I had a number of dialogues with Dan at the time, while he made me edit most of the interesting details out of that article - both his background and career, and his methodology, and unique way with electronics. Nearly all the salient details got removed - and we ended up with a somewhat bare-bones article instead, with no hint really about the personality behind this brand. He’s definitely incredibly meticulous with his pedal builds. Where he really prefers to remain wholly anonymous!

I acquired my 2 DanDrive pedals to date back in 2019 - the Austin Pride [NTE103 Ge & NTE123 Si] and an excellent Secret Weapon Zonk Machine with 3 x AC127’s onboard. Both of those are amazing and came in beautiful colourful fabric wraps as those pedals were delivered then. They’re more monochromatic nowadays, and not quite as visually arresting for me - while the various current textured editions look really decent - particularly up close and personal.

These are for sure a pricey proposition - mostly in the $500-$600 and equivalent range - so they need a fair amount of justification. DanDrive and Isle of Tone - both German brands - tend to pitch their pricing fairly high! I’m fine with brands setting out their stalls however they wish - while pricing will always be a key criteria for deciding which pedals to acquire next, and the higher the price - the higher the friction and the longer the decision process!

Dan has turned out to be something of a Zonk specialist - with initially Secret Engine, Secret Machine, and Secret Weapon editions, and then latterly ’Bonk Machines’ - now in MKII editions (V5 essentially!), and including the purple Dog Ear version.

Reverb.com has a very health selection of DanDrive pedals - over 100 currently. Where apart from These Go To 11 - dealers include Electric Mojo Guitars in Canada, Definitive Guitar in the Netherlands, Amelia Island Fine Guitars in the USA, and FX Pedal Planet and Coda Music in the UK.

I will inevitably swing round to pick up one or two more of these - while that exercise takes quite a lot of persuasion to go for the higher ticket prices. As a Scandinavian I value Quality and Value most significantly!

There’s no question that these DanDrive pedals have the right quality - but they are somewhat on the pricey side for sure - so you need to work out your own justification.

My next most likely one of these is the Vocooder Fuzzy Drive - which is just the sort of texture I gravitate towards!

These are the latest 4 at These Go To 11 :

  • Joey Landreth Bonk Machine 2 (Zonk) in texture pink edition - $640
  • Joey Landreth Dog Ear Bonk Machine 2 (Zonk) in purple craquelure / textured edition - $595
  • Tweedy Overdrive in textured deluxe gold edition - $585
  • Vocoder Ry Cooder style Fuzzy-Drive Dirt Pedal - $595

All still mostly available on the TGT11 Webstore as of my writing this!

Further individual details as follows :

2026-GPX-Dan-Drive-x-These-Go-To-11-Quartet-700.jpg

Joey Landreth Bonk Machine 2 (Zonk) - $640

Controls - Fuzz Gain, Level, Mids Switch, Bias.

The latest V5 edition of DanDrive's Zonk format - here with a 3rd Bias Knob, and additional Mids-Switch. 3 x Germanium Transistors - where Dan selects from the best varieties currently available. The control topology is identical to my own Secret Weapon Zonk edition!

Joey Landreth Dog Ear Bonk Machine 2 (Zonk) in purple craquelure edition - $595

Controls - Fuzz Gain, Level, Mids Switch, Bias.

An alternative look for the Bonk Machine MK2 Zonk (V5 Edition) - same internally as the one above - but with a textured purple Joey Landreth artwork design.

Tweedy Overdrive in textured deluxe gold edition - $585

Controls - Level, Drive, Tone.

The latest edition of DanDrive's Tweedy Overdrive - still in the same 3-controls edition - but here with a really cool textured gold finish.

Vocoder Ry Cooder style Fuzzy-Drive Dirt Pedal - $595

Controls - Level, Drive.

One of the more recent circuits - based on the Ry Cooder sound - which I always feel sounds like a fuzzy-drive. And overdrive which gets fuzzier as you dig in. Really cool dynamics and output texture!
