Malta's Attic Audio Putty Saturation Preamp & Shaper is now available at Northern Stompboxes in the UK

My good friend Stephen and his Northen Stompboxes pedal store seems to be on something of a roll these days. He’s excellent at picking up interesting slightly under the radar brands. And I feel this is the first time that Malta’s Attic Audio Pedals are available in the UK.

The Putty is a Saturating Preamp & Shaper - intended for always on duties - for general tone-enhancing purposes. You have a number of Clipping options plus a Gain control for Saturation, and then a choice of 2-Band Pre or Post EQ to further shape the output.

Controls - Gain, Clipping Mode : Lo | Off | Hi, Volume, Bass, Pre | Post EQ, Treble, Clipping Type push-button : Symmetrical / Asymmetrical.

The Putty is a very straightforward but still potent tone sweetener - that can be put to a variety of uses. The control topology seems very intuitive and delivers the maximum of impact thtough the minimum of controls really.

It looks like there’s just 2 active pedals in the range currently - this Putty, and the Magic Hat Passive Reamp Box which Northern Stomps has yet to stock, while Attic does a lot of custom pedal builds too, presumably for local Maltese.
