This was one of my priority targets for last year - where it landed at Northern Stompboxes towards the end of that year - and I was determined to land it as early as possible this year.

Controls - Q1 Gain, Blue Button Fuzz / Distortion Switch, White Button Fixed High Pass Filter Switch, V] Volume, A] Attenuate Input, C] Q2 Bias, F] First Order Low Pass Filter.

Key Features

  • boost, overdrive, distortion, fuzz circuit
  • large capacitors for all the thickness
  • fixed high-pass filter
  • first-order low-pass filter
  • designed for instrument and line-level
  • 9V DC center negative
  • true bypass

This is a wonderfully vibrant device with gorgeous breakup texture - which turns to an amazing searing Fuzz when the Blue Button is activated.

This is a wholly full-range device - with extensive Gain and Volume onboard, and the perfect complement of shaping controls.

I tend to have Gain and Volume @ 3 o’c, Fixed HPF Active, Attenuate Input at Noon, and Q2 Bias and LPF fully maxed. I then flip between Overdrive and Fuzz by engaging and disabling the Blue Button.

The Sear on the Fuzz is next level - fantastic breakup texture with amazing clarity and articulation - and incredibly vibrant device. Fantastic in Scope and Execution, and with a really cool aesthetic too.

I really like this one - it’s very distinct for sure - and super versatile. Sound amazing every which way!

I got mine from Northern Stompboxes in the UK, where it goes for £249! This one is well worth your consideration!

The only change I would make to this device is to assign the Blue Button function to a second footswitch - so you can switch up on the fly more easily and dynamically!
