I came across this recently on Coast Sonic - and then quite forgot where I saw it original - where it took me a further day or two to find it once more. This Multi-Gain pedal is definitely a target for me early next year.

It’s a cool Overdrive pedal with Fixed High Pass Filter, and fully variable Low Pass Filter, Input Gain Attenuation, and Q2 Bias.

The Blue push-button engages a further gain stage - which delivers Distortion and Fuzz tones.

This is a highly stylised and stylish pedal - and the first I’ve encountered from Superlunar! Who also have some Ableton Live Modules out. While the SR-01 seems to be their only hardware device for now! It has a beautifully modern aesthetic to it in any case

Controls - Q1 Gain, Blue Button Fuzz / Distortion, White Button Fixed High Pass Filter, Volume, A] Attenuate Input, C] Q2 Bias, F] First Order Low Pass Filter.

Key Features

  • boost, overdrive, distortion, fuzz circuit
  • large capacitors for all the thickness
  • fixed high-pass filter
  • first-order low-pass filter
  • designed for instrument and line-level
  • 9V DC center negative
  • true bypass

I’m somewhat smitten by this device - but came across it too late for this year, while I will include it in my annual overview, hopefully it’s not too long before it enters the reference collection - hopefully January / February - pending a batch release at that time of course.

The SR-01 is presumably $289, as it has a £216 price tag for me - which seems eminently reasonable. Available of corse from the Superlunar Webstore, and Coast Sonic, as already mentioned.

Superlunar is New York based - where I hope to make a connection in the new year!
