T-Rex does it again! This time stereo-fying the Binson Echorec - for the greatest ever analog Tape-style / Magnetic Delay.
It has the full range of features that I would have included had I designed this myself - with 4 selectable Record / Playback Heads and the full complement of controls and connections you need for maximum impact.
This is every way a perfect execution - possibly bar its size and price. For this level of technical achievement $3 Grand seems about right - while that price puts it out of reach for most.
For me it’s the size of the unit also - as I have no way to accommodate that within my dedicated music space - which is already heavily congested. I would hope that someone could do a Serato-style miniaturisation of that device at some stage - retaining the same dynamics - while that is something of a pipe-dream.
I feel that studios around the wold will be queuing up one of these!
Main Controls - Bypass Switch, Gain, Echo Tone, Short / Long Delay Switch, Head 1 On/Off, Volume, Balance, Head 2 On/Off, Volume, Balance, Head 3 On/Off, Volume, Balance, Head 4 On/Off, Volume, Balance, Repeat / Swell Switch, Echo, Speed, Repeat.
Rear Panel - EXPRESSION PEDAL INPUT } Speed, Feedback, MIDI In, MIDI Out, MIDI Channel Dippers 1-16, Power Off/On, Instrument Input - Low/High Button, XLR Left In, XLR Right In, Kill Dry Button, XLR Out Left, XLR Out Right, Out Left, Out Right, GND / LIFT Switch, 24V DC [-] 350mA.

The T-Rex Binson Sterephonica is available for preorders at a few select dealers - including Perfect Circuit, Vintage King, and Sweetwater.
There are currently no details up on the T-Rex site - the Dealers are you best bet if you need further details.
