Drunk Beaver's Hello Beaver Distortion is a pink re-skin of the DStort1on — Vitalii’s extended take on the Boss DS-1 Distortion — arriving with a Kawaii-inspired look similar to the Fender Hello Kitty Fuzz by coincidence.
Only 10 units are being made in this first batch; the seller expects they’ll go very quickly and views them as a likely collector’s item. Available right this second on the Drunk Beaver Rocks Webstore.
As of 2026-07-13, the price was £119 for the pedal. Matching T-shirt (Soft Pink; also pale blue, white, black) — As of 2026-07-13, the price was £16.
OK - so this is the well loved Drunk Beaver Distortion - or DStort1on as I sometimes refer to it as - Vitalii’s quite superb take on the Boss DS-1 Distortion - with vastly extended features and range. I did a piece on the latest version of that back in 2022.
This Hello Beaver variant is simply just a re-skinned colour-variant as requested by a prospective customer. The brief was for a pink variant of the Distortion - where Vitalli kind of serendipitously arrived at a similar treatment to the recent Fender Hello Kitty Fuzz - while that was more of a happy coincidence weirdly rather than part of any particular plan.
I’m a huge fan of Japanese Kawaii culture - and snap up these kinds of things on sight. And Vitalii has a matching T-shirt to go with the pedal - you’ve got to get it in matching Soft Pink - while the shirt is also available in pale blue, white, and black. ’Pink to make the ladies wink’ as the saying goes.
I will be getting in the pedal and matching T-shirt of course - this will surely be a collector’s item in time - only 10 are being made for this first batch. It was supposed to be a low-key event - but I really wanted to get involved! And so it’s not so low-key anymore!
I expect this round of 10 to go very quickly!
Available right this second on the Drunk Beaver Rocks Webstore for $150 - but they’ll all be gone in 60 seconds!
The Shirts are under the Merch part of the Webstore and are $20 each.
