Drunk Beaver’s Vitalii - has done an amazing technological evolution here - where he splits out the Fuzz and Boost - and assigns them via Multi-Mode Footswitches and LEDs.
Vitalii’s switching systems allows you to switch between 5 functions with just 2 footswitches.
So we have 2 footswitches and 2 bicolor indicator LEDs:
RIGHT LED - indicates effects status :
LEFT LED - is thefuzz EQ mode indicator, always on :
RIGHT footswitch:
LEFT footswitch :
Effects are switched by signal relays and the EQ has electronic switching, everything is controlled by a MCU.
There are interesting and high quality NOS Japanese transistors used : Sanyo 2SD1450 for boost and 2x Matsushita (Panasonic) 2SD1330 for the fuzz stages.
There will be just 30 units available on the Drunk Beaver Webstore when this article goes live - at $175 each. I feel like this is going to be a very popular release - and you will need lightning reactions - or before you know it - they will all be gone!
As a usual rapid prototyping project there is no official demo for this release - so I will refer to a sound sample of the original source pedal.
