The big mystery hear is where Keeley is getting all its RCA style knobs from - surely those aren’t all original Bakelite variants - I didn’t realise that quite that many were still to be found in the wild!
While it’s the exact same format as the Halo Core, Rotary and Zoma Reverb. I have that format on my "I Get Around Rotary Simulator’ which is then later improved in just the ’Rotary’ variant - one came in white, and the other has now been released in a number of colours - including Black and Purple.
The emphasis here is the other way around - with the Purple version being the standard one and the Black Edition the Custom shop variant - both are available for the same $199 price tag - via the same Store Item - you just select which version you want.
I know this particular format is proving to be very popular - but I prefer the more compact dual-footswitch enclosure - which houses the Halo, Hydra and Eccos. I would have been much keener for that format - which more controls.
Controls - Feedback, Rate, Stages : X (10) / IV (4) / V (Uni-Vibe), Depth, Phase One Footswitch, Phase Two Footswitch. Double-Click + Hold on each Channel - allows you to control that Channel, Pressing Both Footswitch to gather allows you to change Mode from Parallel to Series.
You also have the ability via secondary functions - to select 2-Stage and 6-Stage Phaser voicings, different Bypass Modes and a few more variations.
It’s a really cool effect for sure - a Dual Stereo Phaser sounds pretty fantastic - but I would have preferred it the more compact enclosure. These effects are very vintage - styled - and slightly oversized for those purposes - you have a lot of real estate there for just a handful of controls. I’m not a particular fan of secondary and tertiary functions on the same knobs - meaning it’s a little more complicated than it needs to be really. For me - this effect would be much better with a few extra controls - which better support the extended feature set.
