The Vires is a high quality construction, beautifully made pro slimline mains-powered pedalboard power supply - which sits in between the CIOKS SOL and DC7 with its 6 ports, but mostly targets NUX’s 5-Port Zeus JR - delivering one further outlet than that for the same price of $129.

This is one of those power supplies very evidently designed for sitting on the underside of most pedalboard types. It is the main base unit - like all those other supplies just mentioned. While other brands have further units you can daisy chain - via that 24V Output - so you should be able to daisy chain say CIOKS and Strymon devices to this unit.

The Vires has 6 fully isolated outlets, 4 @ 9V delivering 500mA, and 2 variable ports delivering 375mA @ 12V, 500mA @ 9V, and 250mA @ 18V - exactly the same kind of figures you get with NUX and Strymon supplies. CIOKS gives you a little more power, and for its Future Power Generation series - including the SOL and DC7 - all ports are fully variable 9V/12V/15V/18V. CIOKS is generally seen as the best in the industry - but it has a price point commensurate with that - with the 5 Port SOL @ $214 vs the $129 of the 6-Port Vires.

This Klowra supply comes in at the perfect size and reach for an entry board. It has the 24V daisy-chain feature - where you can daisy-chain several power supply units together - like you get with some CIOKS and Strymons in particular. (Note - that you cannot chain another Vires, as that is Mains-supply only).

Like all Klowra pedals - this one is beautifully made - with a very high quality construction and high quality components onboard. Its price point is very attractive, and you get an extra 9V port for the same price as the NUX Zeus Jr - albeit that means a slightly larger footprint. All very commendable! The Vires Power Supply comes with an assortment of power cables - so you can instantly wire up your board - it will tackle a small to mid-size board, as long as there aren’t too many high current draw pedals involved.

The Vires Isolated Power Supply can be had for $129 via the Klowra Site, Amazon, and select international dealers.
