CKK / Sinvertek issued 59 more Gold and 59 Dark Gold modded SH-1N Scream Honey Overdrive pedals (118 total), hand‑tuned by engineer Wu Nan and advertised as around 20% improved. An order was processed and payment confirmed by Sales Manager Tina; a Scream Honey Gold is due in 2–3 weeks.
The pedal uses classic Level, Tone and Drive controls plus two EQ toggles: H (Hollow) cuts upper‑mids and B (Bold) accents low and high frequencies. Players report it works well as a harmonic boost.
The writer owns five of Mr Wu’s pedals, mentions Pete Thorn’s praise, lists seven demos, and expects these additional 118 are likely sold out.
Kind of as predicted in my end of year roundup for 2021 - where I bemoaned my missing out on the original 170-run Scream Honey release last year. I did predict though that Mr Wu would likely make a few more modded editions eventually - probably in much the same way as he did with the N5+ 3D : Gold and Titanium Editions - and where I was lucky enough to snag a Gold variant.
So I was both excited and filled with trepidation when the new announcement went out - just 59 more each of Gold and Dark Gold editions - both around 20% improved - as hand-tuned by engineer Wu Nan himself. Several of my most loyal readers have one of the originals - and I was really hoping to join their ranks - and add a matching pair to my N5+ 3D Gold. So I’m delighted to report that I’ve already processed the invoice and received payment confirmation from Sales Manager Tina - and now there is a Scream Honey Gold with my name on it! Due to be delivered in 2-3 weeks!

This is a superbly articulate and harmonic overdrive - with so much character and dynamism - that you can really turn it to most purposes. The core controls are the classic 3 knobs - of Level, Tone and Drive, you then have a couple of further EQ toggle-switches - 'H' stands for 'Hollow' and cuts some of the Upper-Mids, while the 'B' / 'Bold' switch accentuates both low and high frequencies - a little like a one-shot Spectrum control.
This is just a wonderfully articulate overdrive which some of my readers are using as a harmonic boost - which should mean a lot of scope for me. I've been kind of lucky of late in securing a number of these limited edition pedals - and I always feel blessed when my luck is in. There's been quite a number of misses over the years - so it's nice when the lottery goes your way.

I hope all of those I communicated with recently managed to snag one as well. It's always very nervy when you are waiting a number of days for a response. And it's all great of course when it works out - and I'm happy now to own 5 of Mr Wu's pedals.
I look forward to with catching up with everyone on their experience of this special overdrive.
I would imagine that these additional 118 pedals are long since sold out by the time this article goes live. I made sure that I knew what my own status was before sharing this post - as I didn't wish to jinx it.
I sincerely hope all my folks managed to snag one and that all will be as delighted with the Scream Honey as Pete Thorn seems to be :
