I’ve featured a number of sample-repeaters / micro-loopers of late - while I really like the sound and look of this one from Glitch Cloud Audio.
"Haze is a generative composer that transforms sound into texture. Skips, stutters, and fluid time become rhythm and motion. Feed it a loop. Plug in an instrument. Let it mutate for hours."
I recently covered the Puremagnetik JOTS - which I likened to pedals from Chase Bliss, Discomfort Designs and Kinotone. And this is another of that ilk, and my most likely next acquisition from this genre. It’s the closest one yet to a sort of Chase Bliss format - as you have most of that style of control topology - including option switches on the top edge.
Similar to the JOTS this consists of 2 sample loops - which you combine in somewhat different ways.
’Haze’ is a genius moniker for this specific mix of effects.
Controls - Top Edge Options } OG : Off/On (Alternative Haze Voicing), Echo : Off/On, Path : Mono/Stereo, Gain : Lo/Hi, Main Panel } Dry/Wet Mix, Loop Time : 5s at Noon > 10s Max, Haze : Glitchy Jumps CCW / Progressively more LoFi CW, Resonant Filter : < Low Pass | Band Pass >, Repeat / Sample Shrink, Smooth Random Modulation, Pitch/Speed : .5x / 1x / 2x, Loops : 1 / 2 / 2 + Double Rate, Warble : Off / Light / Heavy, x0.75 Speed Transpose Left Footswitch [Hold for Manual Shuffle], Bypass Right Footswitch [Hold Clear Buffer].
Like various glitchy / microloopy pedals from Chase Bliss and others mentioned here - this is the kind of effect you just need to get proper hands-on to experiment with and experience. It’s a knob-tweakers delight for sure and the table-top brigade will be delighted they have another cool option to try out while waiting for their next Chase Bliss fix!
Specs
These are currently made in small batches - and we’re awaiting the next restock - where one of these Haze’s can be acquired for $349 / €311 / £268 on the Glitch Cloud Webstore (when available).

I will definitely be coming for one of these - there’s so much to like here. I’ve still to decide on a priority for this one - it’s slightly moot in any case - as I will need to coordinate and sync up with the batch release schedule which is not always ideal for me - as there’s so much going on at any given time, and if the release is at the end of the month - I will have likely long since blown the budget and contingencies. One of these is surely on the cards though!
