Mojo Hand FX delivers cool Nintendo SNES S-SMP Inspired SMPLoFi Bitcrusher / Reverb / Filter

This pedal reminds me a little of the recent EHX Pico Atomic Cluster Sonic De-Rezzer and Atomic Frequencies Oscillator. Both are a little Lo-Fi and essentially drop the Resolution of the output in slightly different ways.

This SMPLoFi features 2 Core Modes - Mode 1 is a Bitchrusher - and if you hit the Red Button - you get Mode 2 Reverb and Band Pass Filter. Both Modes have the Blue Knob Dry > Wet Mix as a common element.

This pedal is very much 80’s / Nintendo inspired - sort of chip-tune territoritory.

It’s a rather simple an elegant 2-Mode pedal with Alt Settings triggered by the Central Red Knob.

Controls - BITCRUSHER MODE } 24 > 2 Bit Depth, Sample Rate Reduction, Dry > Wet Mix; RED REVERB & FILTER MODE } Red SMPL / Reverb Mode Button, 24 > 2 Bit Depth + Reverb Gate Time, Band Pass Filter Frequency, Dry > Wet Mix.

I really like the look and function of this pedal - and it’s definitely a target for me - for next year really - and still more of a ’nice-to-have’ than a must-have. I will probably end up getting both this and the EHX Atomic Cluster - while neither is really a priority.
