The album starts off with a blistering trio of driven Psych and Space Rock - and only briefly takes it’s foot off the accelerator on the fast-paced journey though those 11 tracks! For me it’s an epic odyssey to the outermost far corners of space! Enjoy the flight!

The brilliant opening track ’Sisterworld’ is probably my overall favourite - a driven, twinkly rhythmic space odyssey!

Track 2 ’Inverted Castle’ - is a sort of ’Space Boogie’, and on reflection - probably my equal favourite with Sisterworld! A little reminiscent of Muse's Uprising!

This music very much has its roots and feel in the 70’s but a slightly more contemporary take on that sound  - very slightly reminiscent for me too of parts of the conceptual / made up ’Logan’s Sanctuary’ follow-up soundtrack album by Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and Brian Reitzell - albeit that is very much synth-driven - while Cohen’s arrangements have guitars very much front and centre of the mix - while a number of the tracks also have a significant amount of synth sounds too!

 I’ve re-listened to ’Logan’s Sanctuary’ and it turns out it’s just a handful of tracks from that album that feature similarly spacey sounds! That was the first thing that came to mind though - and Muse's Uprising! The album is frequently somewhat bombastic in nature - which is exactly how I like it! It's rich with exceptional modulation flavours!

Track #6 ’Gateway Phase’ is very well named - for me it totally carries the sensibilities of that moniker - while the other track labels can be a little more esoteric! Also track #9 'Collider', and track  #11 'Shadow Works' those really seem to carry their names!

Most of the album is fairly pacey kinetic rock - Gateway Phase is a bit stop-starty but still decent!

For me the whole album does kind of sound somewhat like a lost soundtrack from a long forgotten 70’s sci-fi cult classic!

I've listened to the full album a good dozen times now - and there's not a track on there that I don't like - in fact I really love most of them - and particularly the pacier tracks! My full-on favourites include tracks #1, #2, #3, #8, #9 and #10. That is to say Sisterwolrd, Inverted Castle, Black Crystal Lake, We've Always Been Here, Collider, and You Don't Care A Lot.
