I’m a huge fan of the original version of the Morning Glory - it’s pretty much a perfect pedal for me - especially the Rogue Pedal Rehousing ’Gucci Edition’ of that pedal.
With my ’Gucci Edition’ I can and do use both channels all the time. The texture, tonality and gain range on that is exactly as I would have it - it’s for sure one of the very best BluesBreakers out there.
I typically don’t go for low gain pedals - while the Morning Glory Clean is probably going to be used mostly as a boost / stacking pedal. It would be an interesting experiment for me to have the original Morning Glory further booster by the ’Clean’ edition.
The new format dispenses with the with toggle switch and Ret Remote, and instead brings in a Clean Blend control. For the new edition the jacks are at last top-mounted.
Controls - Volume, Drive, Tone, Clean Blend.
The Morning Glory Clean goes for $179 / £179 and equivalent and is now widely available.
This is not really a priority for me - but very much a nice-to-have. I will probably get one eventually - as to when that will happen is anyone’s guess.
