I already noted in yesterday’s article on the Lluna that Joe’s Pedals had had a restock of Lastgasp Art Laboratories - which restock includes 3 brand new Lastgasp pedals, and 2 new to the Joe’s Pedals roster.
I touched on how I had been targeting a select grid of 9 Lastgasp pedals - which included 2 of this selection - the Lluna of course, and the Deviltail which will be featured tomorrow! I have two compact targets remaining - the Tone Axe, and Toxic Plant - before I then target some of these larger mostly mid-size pedals.
I will always favour compact editions as they are are always going to be more pedalboard-friendly and practical typically - while larger editions typically give you extended features.
Here are the 5 ones new to Joe’s Pedals :
The 3 larger ones are brand new from Lastgasp - where there was a 4th new one - the Angelwing Boost + Active Splitter, which was not ordered in on this occasion.
Of that new selection - the Deviltail, Lluna, and Hachikyu Shiki DualOscillo Fuzz have all been snapped up already - which just leaves the DroneBox and Hypnospiral.
So I managed to pick up the two compact editions, and I would probably be interested in the DualOscillo Fuzz, and the Hypnospiral Flanger. I’m not particularly keen on Drone effects - and so would be very unlikely to pick up the DronBox.
Further details on each below :

Controls - Level, Tone, Volt (Starve >), Gain/Oscillation.
This is a fantastic Feedback Oscillation Fuzz - sounds absolutely killer immense and has an incredible searing percolating texture. It has so much range onboard that there should be something for everyone here!
Controls - Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Frequency | Oscillation 1 / Frequency | Oscillation 2 / Frequency | Oscillation 3, Tone, Master Level.
A 3 Oscillator Drone Machine with a full complement of controls. Obviously no Bypass Footswitch - so very much intended for the Synth crowd rather than the Stompbox one.
Controls - Level, Gain : 0-10 > 11-13 'Hell'
A 2-controls full-on distortion which does that blistering Lastgasp thing - where it delivers a lot of range through just those 2 knobs.
Controls - Depth, Speed, Range, Direct Level, 0.15ms Delay Level, 0.25ms Delay Level. 9.5ms Delay Level, Feedback.
A smart extended range Flanger - with some unusual controls - including the ability to combine 3 core different Delay Times. Also has the essential Feedback control to give you extended and more intense flavours.
Dual Oscillo Controls - FUZZ 1 } Level, Tone, Frequency, FUZZ 2 } Level, Tone, Gap : Large / Small, Oscillation.
+ Expression Jack
Super Oscillo Fuzz Controls - Level, Adjust (Tone / Gain / Pitch / Feedback), 6 x Node Switches (Tone / Character / Oscillation / Feedback), CV Pedal Input on left side.
This is quite different to the circuit-bending nature of the original compact edition. It's a sort of adjacent take with more straight forward controls - you don't get that ability to connect / interlace 6 different nodes of the circuit- like you do in the original. So it's still an Oscillating Fuzz - but quite a different take to its forerunner.
