I believe this is the 4th in OBNE’s Square Stereo Series - following on from the Dark Start, Black Fountain, and Bathing Liminal pedals. As it says in the title - it combines two of OBNE’s ambient pedals - the Sunlight and Procession - here enhanced with further features and granulary, of course with full Stereo signal now, and onboard presets. This Sunlight has 10 controls :

Controls - Dry, Dynamics, Decay, Feedback, Rate : 1/4 | 1/3 | 1/2 | 1x | 2x | 3x | 4x, Depth, Shape : Tape / Triangle / Square / Ramp Up / Ramp Down / Random, Time, Frequency, Wet Level, Aux Footswitch (Tap Tempo / Reverb Hold / Preset Switching), On/Off Footswitch.

Ports - TRS Stereo In, TRS Stereo Out, MIDI In, MIDI Out, USB-C, Expression, 9V DC [-] 350mA.

These are coming so fast now that it’s starting to get a little confusing as to which one to favour - as I very much doubt you would have all 4 of those on your board - you would need to pick the most suitable pairing likely - for your preferences - OBNE needs to do a chart to help with the decision making process.

The format for these pedals is well established - and if you master the controls of one of these - the familiarity in format should make those easily transferable.

I’m still fairly keen on the Dark Start and the Liminal - so this sunlight kind of throws a spanner into the decision making process - while I feel I’m still leaning into those aforementioned choices. The Sunlight has a slightly different emphasis - they’re all distinct - but still sort of direct competitors with each other - where each is a complex / potent Multi-FX in its own way.

I always wonder on the impact several successive pedals in a similar format engender - for me it leads a little to pattern blindness - where you digest them within a specific grpuping. The artworks are good differentiators - while those 7 bigger knobs and 3 small are getting to be very familiar!

I need to get to the Dark Start first probably - before I have time for the Sunlight!

The Stereo Sunlight Modulated Reverb goes for $299 / €349 / £299 and equivalent on the OBNE Webstore. Where the standard model is the Maroon one!
