DBA has rolled out a really cool stretched out, endless, and cavernous stereo reverberator here - making use of TRS ports, and with 3 increasingly intense Modes onboard.
It’s a fairly simple pedal in many ways - but super smart too with its dual footswitches, and Low Pass Filter. It’s perfect for those who want to deliver a ’Big’ reverb sound in Stereo - in the most straightforward of manners. And the Modes and 2nd Footswitch throw in some useful variations.
External Controls - Dry>Wet Mix, Low Pass Filter, Decay Time, Infinity Modes : Loop Only / Capture & Loop / Self-Oscillate, Infinity Footswitch Options : Latching / Momentary, Engage Footswitch, Infinity (Mode) Footswitch.
Internal Controls - Input Switch : Mono / Stereo, Bypass Trails Switch : Trails / No Trails.
Had I not acquired the Cornerstone Nucleo Reverb this year - then this Infinity Verb would certainly have been a target for me - although I would likely not have reacted quickly eoungh to the Blackout Event - as I had so much on at tht time. While the Nucleo is way out there on its own really - ahead of all the chasing pack - with its unique feature set.
The Infinity Verb will certainly feature in my end of year articles - while the Nucleo is the overwhelming winner for the Reverb category this year.
I’m unlikely to pick up the Infinity Verb in the time leading up to the Best of the Year posts - the pictured variant is already sold out! While I may well swing for it early next year if there are further iterations. It’s about time I got some DBA pedals on the board - and this one is very much made to my own preferences!
It seems I’m a little late with this one - and most of the Reverb.com Blackout Pedals (there were 5) are now sold out.
I meant to get to the Reverb Blackout Pedals in time - but I got the message too late, and was already way overcommitted at that time!
The 5 Blackout Pedals of which the Infinity Verb was one - were as follows :
Actually the Daredevil, Walrus Audio, and Way Huge ones still have some remaining copies - reverb.com/shop/blacked-out.
The EQD Black Eye Mini sounded pretty cool - while the most compelling one in that group for me was the DBA Infinity Verb. The Blackout Events seems to have shrunk somewhat - as I’m pretty sure there were 17 different pedals up for offer for the inaugural one.
Reverb.com sent me an email very late in the day - and I’ve only managed to get to this now!
