So this is a really interesting experiment by Alexander Pedals in channelling Modulated Reverb elements into a sort of synthesizer format. Synthesizers are mostly composed of Oscillators and Filters - where Alexander has deployed Modulated Reverb to similar ends.
You get really interesting Ghostly Synthy Reverb Textures - rendered in stereo - for an exceedingly ethereal sci-fi kind of experience!
Controls - Decay, Space, Blend, Level, Sense (Off CCW), Swell : Filter / Post / Pre, Rate, Direction : Down / Up / LFO, Noise, Type : Trash / Pop / Hum, Dirt, Warble : C / B / A, Frequency, Filter : HP / BP / LP, Resonance, Trails : Off / On / Auto, Swell / Tap Footswitch, Preset 1-4 Footswitch, Bypass Footswitch.
"Now We Are Ghosts started as an attempt to create a synthesizer out of a reverb. Start with the familiar filter, envelope generators, low-frequency oscillators, and voltage-controlled amplifiers. Then replace the voltage-controlled oscillators with the reverb voice. The result is Now We Are Ghosts. It’s a complex exploration of sonic space with lots of unique opportunities for creative mayhem."
From the designer : "I have been working on this pedal for more than a year, including some early prototypes that I showed off back in early 2025. It’s been through three name changes and three different graphic designs, but now we’ve finally arrived at something that is really special. The art is by the incredibly talented Conrad Keely, and I couldn’t be happier with the way the whole package turned out. I’ve leveraged the form factor of Forget-Me-Not with lots of knobs and switches to facilitate real-time control, which helps this pedal feel really immediate and fun. My only rule for this design was that every control had to do something cool. I hope you enjoy this." — Matthew Farrow

There is alas no Manual currently - so I can't delve as deep as I would normally like to, but I am quietly impressed by this Ghostly Reverb, and the demos go a long way towards proving the concept.
I've yet to decide if this is a must-have or nice-to-have - while it's certainly highly intriguing!
