Key Points
Thermion Breathe is a multi‑FX/spatial pedal combining an 800ms Analog‑style Tap Delay, smart Dual Reverb and a +15dB Boost, a companion to Thermion’s Zero and Freeway amps.
Boost Level and Boost Sync can trigger with Delay, Tap/Boost or Reverb FSW; Tap/Boost FSW hold 1s for Boost. Dual Reverb: Reverb Mix, Stay‑On Mix and Mode (Stay On/Active), types Small/Medium/Large. Delay: Mix, Time, Trails/Active, Feedback/Repeats, Character (Normal/Bright/Dark), Tap divisions Eight/Dotted‑Eighth/Quarter. Tails mode and true bypass.
Mono I/O; side jacks widen pedal. Power 9V DC via 2.1mm jack, 350mA. Protections: polarity reversal, AC connection, momentary overvoltage. Input impedance >1MΩ. Available from Thermion Webstore.
Thermion combines an 800ms Analog-style Tap Delay, smart Dual Reverb, and +15dB Boost for its super handy Breathe Multi-FX / Spatial Effects Pedal.
This project evolved I believe as a much requested companion pedal to Thermion’s potent Zero and Freeway floor-based amps (the Freeway in particular) - both have featured on this site. Where the Breathe gives you full granular control over your Time-Based Effects, with some further smart dynamics in play.
And those smart Dynamic elements include how and when the Boost is activated - where it can be synced with Delay or Reverb Footswitches - as part of a solo boost. You then have a second ’Stay On’ Bypass Reverb - for your Rhythm Tones, and have a further option switch to allow Tails to extend into Delay Bypass.
Controls - BOOST } Boost Level, Boost Sync : Trigger with Delay FSW / Trigger with Tap/Boost FSW / Trigger with Reverb FSW, Tap/Boost Footswitch (Boost : Hold 1s); DUAL REVERB } Reverb Mix, Stay On Mix (for Bypass), Mode : Stay On / Active, Reverb Type : Medium / Small / Large, Reverb Footswitch; DELAY } Delay Mix, Delay Time (800ms Max), Mode : Trails / Active, Delay Feedback / Repeats, Character : Normal / Bright / Dark, Tap Division : Eight / Dotted Eighth / Quarter, Delay Footswitch.
Everything is very clearly and obviously marked on the surface of the pedal - and it is therefore a highly intuitive and user-friendly pedal. In fact my only tiny niggles are the fact that the jacks further extend the width dimension of the pedal - vs being top-mounted, and the fact that this is a Mono input/output device, where I personally typically favour immersive stereo devices for my Time-Based Effects (the last 1/3rd of by signal chain is stereo typically).
I can appreciate though that the majority of players still mostly operate within the Mono domain - and this ’Breathe’ would be a really potent addition to any Mono Rig!

A really decent all-rounder BoostVerbOlay! for sure - with some well considered thoughts applied to the final execution - for several really smart playback options!
