Levitation is an Austin, Texas based Music and Arts Platform - known for its live events and festivals. This is their first pedal collaboration as far as I’m aware - and it’s limited to just 333 units which are only available from the Levitation.fm website - where said pedal goes for $225.
Controls - Gain, Reverb Blend, Reverb Time, Trem, Warp Range (Light Sensitivity), Light Sensor.
Everything about this pedal is fairly self-explanatory, and intuitive and familiar - apart from the Warp Range that is - which controls the Light Sensor. And you can dial that out entirely if you want to.
So in sort - a cool Tremo-Verb - with light sensing expression control. So you can control the output by covering up the light sensor on the right of the pedal. It’s a neat frictionless means of expression - but it can be sensitive to lifting conditions in the room, and requires you to adapt your expression technique in a somewhat more refined manner.
Another cool DBA creation for sure - wit those classic DBA looks - it certainly looks the part, while I’ve still to decide if this is one for me. I still need to get properly stuck in to DBA - and there are several on my list already. I personally haven’t always got on well wit light-sensitive expression devices - while I’m always prepared to give them a go - and I of course never say never!
An intriguing pedal for sure!
