Moth Electric has designed one of the best tremolo pedals to-date - which is incredibly well priced too at just $220 - and is due to start shipping on October 17th.
I have a fondness for Optical Tremolos - and of course Harmonic Tremolos in particular - and this M. Stellatarum covers all my favourite aspects of Tremolo - and adds a few more specialisms to the roster. You get a fairly unusual selection of Waveforms - matched to 4 distinct Tremolo Voicings - Treble Frequencies Only Tremolo, Bass Frequencies Only Tremolo, Harmonic Tremolo, and Classic Amplitude Tremolo.
You get 4 core control knobs, and you get Tap Temp with 4 Subdivisions.
Features and Functionality -wise this is an excellent proposition, and one of the very best I’ve seen for this genre.
Controls - Volume, Tone, Depth, Speed, Sub : 1/16 / 1/8 / 1/4 / 1/2, Waveforms : Sawtooth / Reverse Sawtooth / Square / Triangle / Sine / Hypertriangle / Reverse Hypertriangle / Random Level Generator, Mode : Treble Frequencies / Bass Frequencies / Harmonic Tremolo / Amplitude Tremolo / Tap Tempo Footswitch, Bypass Footswitch.
Surely if you’re a proper fan of Tremolo - you will make a home for this device. I certainly will - albeit not this month - as I’m alas overcommitted already and have 23 pedals due to land this month - and we’re not even at the half-way mark for the month. In fact 16 pedal are already in!
Get the M. Stellatarum Tremolo from the Moth Electric Webstore - for just $220 - which seems to me to be a relative bargain.
I will hope to snag one in November - when the new budget rolls around!
