Key Points

Andertons teamed with Pedal Pawn to run a 6× LEGO pedal raffle supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust, open to the countries Andertons can ship to. As of the article, the price was £5 per ticket; ticketing is open for one more week.

Chris and Paul at Pedal Pawn designed and built the six glued LEGO reproductions—collector/museum pieces that sound great but are intended for occasional playback, not road use.

The six pedals: Sola Sound Tone Bender MKI [1965]; Arbiter Fuzz Face (purple) [1966]; Dallas Arbiter Rangemaster [1964]; Hofner (Roger) Mayer Octavia [1966]; Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer [1978]; Marshall Blues Breaker [1991].

I’m always a strong advocate for worthy and imaginative charitable works - and Andertons Pedal Raffle for the Teenage Cancer Trust - is one of the most creative events yet. And open to all the countries Andertons can ship to - which should cover most. There’s an individual Raffle for 6 different LEGO takes on classic pedals - with tickets going for £5 each - and you have 7 days remaining to lend your support!

While Andertons are sort of championing this project, it’s actually mostly thanks to Chris and Paul from Pedal Pawn who devised the circuits and built these Vintage Pedal style LEGO masterpieces.

The originals were mostly quite sizeable - besides the Tube Screamer - while within the limited scope of LEGO engineering - these are mostly somewhat larger still. Pedal Pawn’s Chris and Paul did all the circuit designs and planning - including the actual builds of the pedals - which I understand have been mostly glued together to make them sufficiently robust to be used. While I would classify these as somewhat museum pieces or collector’s items.

They actually sound really great - a lot of care has gone into the design of these. I would imagine though limited to fairly occasional playback - you certainly would not take them out on the road or use as part of your regular daily rig - these are to be savoured as amazing mementos and memorabilia for some of the most legendary pedals made to date.

The 6 pedals are per my visual :

  • LEGO Sola Sound Tone Bender MKI [1965]
  • LEGO Arbiter Fuzz Face Distortion (in unique Purple!)[1966]
  • LEGO Dallas Arbiter Rangemaster Treble Booster [1964]
  • LEGO Hofner (Roger) Mayer Octavia Upper Octave Fuzz [1966]
  • LEGO Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer Overdrive [1978]
  • LEGO Marshall Blues Breaker Overdrive [1991]

As mentioned - you can buy tickets per each pedal (£5 each) - to be in with a chance to win that particular one - or you can spread your love more widely across all 6. It’s certainly a most worthy cause.

And ticket purchasing is open for one more week.

Special mention again to Chris and Paul at Pedal Pawn for all their hard work here - I thoroughly recommend their Texan Twang SRV style Overdrive.
