The original has just 4 knobs - Level, Lows, Highs, Distortion. And this Cleanless evolution adds 3 more, a second footswitch, and an extra clipping switch which delivers a secret sauce custom clipping mode.
Controls - Boost Level, Clean Blend, Distort, Volume, Clipping : Stock / Custom, Lo, Mid, Hi, Boost Footswitch, Distortion Footswitch.
Even though I would typically prefer a portrait format for this kind of pedal - I can’t dispute the topological arrangement Wade has come up with here. I really love the knob choices here too.
July has been a tough month for me - and I’ve struggled to keep up with all the releases - where somehow this one completely passed me by! This is so the kind of pedal that appeals to me.
Obviously the first batch sold out almost immediately - I’m getting used to waiting for batch 2. I need to reach out and tell Wade - to send me a notification direct - as I keep missing out on these!
The Cleanless is $199 when in stock on the Freqscene Effects Webstore and is a magnificent take on that classic Heavy Metal Distortion - with loads of extras to help you get even more out of the circuit.
