To coincide with Greuter Audio’s attendance at this year’s Mannheim Guitar Summit, Sacha has announced pre-orders for his 10 Year Anniversary Editions of his well-loved ’Edge of Breakup’ Fuller Drive.

The previous editions had 4 knobs - per the below demo of the previous model. While the new Editions get an additional control knob each, as follows :

10 BOOST Controls - DRIVE } Drive, Volume, Tone, Drive Footswitch; BOOST } Boost, Range, Boost Footswitch

10 WAH! Controls - DRIVE } Drive, Volume, Tone, Drive Footswitch; WAH! } Wah, Q

The Fuller Drive is Sacha’s very first original design - that he worked on over the years while he was learning about guitar pedal electronics and transistors. He’s honed and perfected that circuit over those several years, and the very first edition was released 10 years ago.

As Sacha Recalls :

"My customers have liked this pedal since it first emerged. Because it reacts very organically and naturally and is musical and inspiring."

The first prototype included a Wah-filter circuit which inspired Sacha to make the Fuller Wah Edition. It’s a Fuller Drive Overdrive with an inductorless Wah - which you can set as a mid boost or else plug in an expression pedal into the EXP jack. In the very beginning of Greuter Audio Sacha experimented also with TrebleBooster circuits which then became the TEN BOOST. This is in the Fuller Drive BOOST Edition.

"A great combination to get a world class saturated overdrive sounds."

The ’Fuller’ name was of course inspired by American Architect / Scientist / Inventor - Buckminster Fuller.

The Fuller Drive is known for is Tube-like response and texture - where it is known for high headroom, edge of breakup texture, and great dynamics.

We are expecting a release demo any day now, while it may not be in place in time for this article - so I will reference the previous 4-knob model.

For Greuter Audio’s 10 Year Anniversary - there will be 3 Editions of the Fuller Drive - the 10 BOOST, and 10 WAH! as pictured here - which are both €350 - and are already available for pre-orders. While the 3rd Edition - the combination WAH! + BOOST Model - has yet to be revealed.

To pre-order the 10 BOOST and 10 WAH! Editions - you will need to email Sacha direct - contact@greuteraudio.ch

These particular pedals are not yet on the Greuter Audio Website - but will surely be in place soon. They are of course both on Sacha’s stand at Guitar Summit!

In the meantime - and if you’re at Guitar Summit - do pop in and say hi to Sacha. I was supposed to be at Gutiar Summit this year - while other events alas took precedence! It’s been a good while now since I met Sacha at the Birmingham Guitar Show some few years ago now!

Hopefully the next meet-up will happen relatively soon!
