When I first encountered this new Supernode variant - I thought Lawrence might have had a previous limited edition ODR-1 take - as he frequently does limited run one-offs. While I was unable to find any trace of an LPD ODR-1 take - so presumably this is his first take of that circuit - at least officially speaking!
It is the 4-knob version of ODR-1 with the Bass-Cut control - something I feel that Brian Wampler offered first with his 2020 Belle Overdrive mini-take of the ODR-1. It’s become very common now for the ODR-1 circuit to have that additional control to temper the bass-half of the Spectrum Tone Stack - which elevates Treble and Bass frequencies at the same time!
So on the Right Channel you have Lawrence’s take of the 4-knob ODR-1 circuit, and on the Left Channel you have his LPD Seventy4 Super Lead Plexi take - a great and relatively unusual combination!
What further distinguishes this Supernode is its Order Switch - which allows you to arrange both channels each way in Series, as well as in Parallel - for maximum variability and impact.
Controls - ODR-1 } Level, Drive, Bass (-Cut), Spectrum, ODR Footswitch; Super Lead Plexi } Level, Drive, Treble, Bass, 74 DS Footswich; Order : RL (Right to Left) / LR / Parallel.
The Supernode ODR-1 x Super Lead Plexi type is available direct from the LPD Pedals Webstore - for $299.99.
As mentioned - this is a fairly unusual combination - I thought Wampler might have put out similar - but no - the Supernode is a rare breed!
