So this story starts back in September of 2024 - where I was one of the first to receive the new Universal Series Fuzzer and Purrer pedals - with those Raw Aluminium Enclosures.
Just a few weeks later, Neil developed a new polishing / buffing technique that brought a satin sheen to those pedals and made then look even more striking - and better matches to those knob insert discs - which carry the labels. The Polisedh Pedals glowed almost with an internal luminescence - and they looked so much better with that treatment.
So I asked Neil if it was alright for me to drop of my pedals at the Brighton Guitar Show - back in July - with a view to pick them up at the Working Boutique Guitar Show that happened his weekend.
I asked Neil to document the process - and he took no loess than 26 pictures of the process - where these are the highlights.
Those reconditioned pedals really look stellar now with that satin sheen. Satin is often a tricky texture to get right - but Neil is that precise - that it’s spot on every time!
Thank you to Neil obviously, and he is such a gentleman that he didn’t charge me for this extra work - which I’m ever so grateful for - I take nothing for granted!
Fun fact is that Neil decided back in 2024 that he had too many differentnt sizes / editions of his circuit - and he was going to streamline everything into just those compact enclosures. But a year later he has re-calibrated - he’s still doing the Minis, and he’s about to introduce a new 1590B3 variant - which will first be utilitsed for the Gnawer / Rat Distortion, and then I think he said another Fuzzer variant - which I would also need to get, and then the Mauler Feedback Fuzz eventually - those should all happen next year - and I will be leading the charge!
