We used to see quite a few ’Tourboxes’ back in the day - Basic Audio for instance used to send those out for promotional and review purposes - so artists could sample several of their pedals at a time - and get a good overview of he range of pedals offered!
So RhPf’s Thomas and Simone are kind of reviving an older tradition - with some modern twists to it! I really love this initiative - and look forward to seeing the various different chapters of the ever evolving Tour Board Diary! Will be fascinating to see how those 12 different artists interact with the board!
The Swiss Touring Board is a collaboration between RhPf Electronics, RockBoard by Warwick, Rombo Picks, and Smirmoor Pedals, running from November 2, 2025, to February 8, 2026.
The idea is simple : one pedalboard with 10 pedals (9 x RhPf and 1 x Smirmoor Pedals), twelve Swiss musicians, twelve weeks, twelve stories.
Each week, the same RockBoard setup travels to a new artist somewhere in Switzerland. They play it, record with it, and share their experience through photos, clips, demos, and interviews - and of course the tour diary! Every handover happens in person, so the story really moves from one set of hands to the next. No shipping, just people meeting, talking, and making music.

- A Smirmoor Smarve (A brutal high gain distortion from Smirmoor Pedals, built in Switzerland too)
- 1 set of each Rombo Picks current lineup for the artists to keep
RhPf don’t enforce any content creation, there are no obligations or expectations.
But they did tell the musicians that genuine engagement will be rewarded : everyone who actively participates and helps tell the story will receive the RhPf pedal they connected with most as a gift.
