So Swiss-based (Basel) RhPf Electronics is somewhat new to me, while they’ve been around for a while - as they have 9 compact pedals already in their range. They’ve not crossed my path before now - where their new Mosferatwo is their most interesting pedal to-date by far!
The Mosferatwo is an Original MOSFET circuit - and delivers a dynamic and touch-sensitive output with a high degree of granularity - courtesy of 7 controls - 3 regular knobs, with 2 minis - combined with 2-way voicing option toggle-switches for each mini knob.
Controls - Drive (Boost > Drive > Distortion), Focus (a sort of EQ - Full Bodied > Dynamic Clarity), Level (Output), Heart (Adds Warmth & Richness), Heart Options : Deep Resonant Lows / Punchy + Aggressive Mids, Bite (Adds Edge & Articulation), Bite Options : More Cut-Thru, Most Cut-Thru!
For sure it’s a distinct new take on an Overdrive - and I love everything about this new pedal - it’s for sure the strongest one in the RhPf Electronics range - both in therms of uniqueness and that really cool artwork - this pedal really stands out as something unique!
The Mosferatwo is currently discounted to $179 (vs $239) and is excellent value at that price - available from the RhPf Electronics Webstore.
I will be looking to add one of these to the reference collection and doing a hand’s on review in the not-too-distant future - could be as early as next month!
It’s always nice to see new cool and original pedals which are distinct from most everything else already out there!
Props to RhPf!
