So the dominant green colour here somewhat gives the game away, while this is a story of two halves. This Payola Light to Heavy Gain Classic Overdrive is part low-gain transparent Timmy style overdrive, and part more heavyset full textured Screamer.

Here you very much get a Dual-Natured Overdrive with a wide coverages of lighter and heavier tones - depending on which flavour you’re wanting to impart. This is a very simple but actually properly versatile overdrive - which gives you shades of Timmy and Lightyear alongside a bolder full-fat Screamer style flavour.

This Crayola brand tribute is a really smartly configured pedal - which helps you colour between and outside the various demarcation lines.

"The GAIN knob has a fairly large sweep so if you have it cranked, the volume control might need to be dialed back some, which reminds me - this pedal can boost.  Since our circuit is a distant cousin of the beloved Tube Screamer (Timmy’ish but with a fixed Bass and Treble control), it can boost with that mid-frequency spank most folks love.  So start your music career off properly and bribe your guitar amp with a little Payola."

The Payola can be yours for just $139 - courtesy of the Blammo Electronics Webstore - with shipping due to commence on the 1st of May supposedly!
