My good friend Benno has created another super versatile genre pedal - this time a vintage-inspired Chorus + Vibrato with 4 Lofi Modes, Tap Tempo and 3 Presets onboard - also full MIDI control, and able to be deployed in Mono, MISO, and Full Stereo. It further has a cool Ramp feature - where you can Ramp up and down between 2 settings.
To get to the 4th Lofi Mode - you hold down the right-hand footswitch, and move the Lofi Selector into the middle.
The Lag button extends the delay time as well as widening the stereo width.
Controls - MIX [Volume], WAVEFORM : Sine / Triangle / Random / Tri-Chorus, LOFI LEVEL [Tone], RATE, DEPTH, LAG, LOFI SELECT : Vinyl - Tape - Radio - [+Aliaser], TAP / HOLD / RAMP Footswitch, BYPASS / DIVISION [Hold for Alt] Footswitch, Press both Footswitches for Presets 1-3.
There’s so much to like here - it sounds superb. I normally gravitate more towards analog Choruses - but I really like how this one sounds - and with its additional textural controls and presets it delivers a very compelling case. I was due to get the J Rocket Aqueous next - while I think I prefer this one’s capabilities.
The Cold Brew has been really smartly thought out and conceived - giving you the perfect degrees of extension for a classic Chorus + Vibrato.
The Cold Brew goes for $260 and equivalent on the Coffee Shop Pedals Store, it has a one month order window where you can place an order - after which the pedal will be discontinued, perhaps never to return! In any case there will be a significant hiatus before there are any more.
It takes 220mA of current. I’m definitely coming for one of these - and I’ve got one month to make it happen! Preorders close on March 31st!
