So the JAM Pedals TS808 take gets another spin around - moving the High Gain option from toggle-switch to Second Footswitch, while we also get a new potent ’No-Diode’ clipping mode - which is a little louder and punchier.

Controls - Level, Gain, Tone, Clipping : Asymmetrical / No-Diode, High Gain Footswitch, Engage/Bypass Footswitch.

I’m sure most don’t necessarily think they need another Tube Screamer variant, I myself have several already. While this is an undeniably cool and handy evolution of that format - with a little more action and horsepower under the bonnet as such - for higher octane and more dynamic playback!

The Standard ’bulb’ edition looks pretty iconic still, while I would be sorely tempted by the ’Glowing Sunset’ western vista Custom Shop edition. I’m currently seeing UK prices displayed - £219 for the Standard variant, and £294 for the ’Glowing Sunset’ variety - both including 20% UK VAT. Of course available now for order / pre-order on the JAM Pedals Webstore.

I’m still figuring out if I should go for one of these - my dance card as such is already filled up for May, while said Glowing Sunset variant will unlikely be around for long! I’m so sorely tempted - but do I really need another screamer?! - I guess I do if it looks that good!

I would be further tempted to swap out the knobs for ones that matched the respective background areas of the artwork a little more closely - so 2 x Mid-Blue, and 1 x Cream / White! That would surely look even more special! Possibly even 2 Blue and 1 Silver Aluminium Love My Switches types! Decisions, decisions!
