This book features an excellent selection of brands and pedals, while it doesn’t include all my favourites - but features most of the usual suspects - and also covers a few brands that I’ve yet to feature on my site.

There’s just a handful of killer books on pedals - my long-term favourite has always been Pedal Crush - which was in part inspired by Guitar Pedal X. You also have The Boss Book, Made On Earth for Rising Stars : The Electro-Harmonix Story, and the dual volume - Stompbox and Vintage & Rarities Books. I think you’ve pretty much got the full set if you own all of those!

Chris Cassone has done a sterling job here - so many of my friends are covered in his book, and not just the usual suspects.

I’m not sure the page layouts are as good as in Pedal Crush - but the content is solid - with 67 brands covered in 300+ full colour photographs.

The books is somewhat oddly arranged in terms of the order of the brands - I’m not really clear on the pattern there. While there is an Appendix in the back - which lists the Brands out in Alphabetical Order.

I would also probably have picked slightly different header photos for some of the chapters - but by and larger the vast majority are the right flagship for that brand!
