As always, Vitalii has upgraded some of the key components here and added a couple of extra really useful mods.
Controls - Volume, Tone, Drive, EQ Mod : Modern / Flat / Stock, Clipping Mod : Modern / LED / Stock.
The EQ mod delivers : stock - deep scoop, flat and modern with less pronounced mid cut. The Clipping toggle delivers : stock symmetrical Si KD522, modern asymmetrical Si ITT + BAYP-95 on one side and ITT on the other, LED is 2 x LEDs.
The Chernihiv carries a Vintage SGS MC4558 OpAmp and BC414B for input and output buffers.
Essentially a slightly more expansive take on the Maxon / Ibanez SD-9 Sonic Distortion in a similar neon green enclosure. I’ve featured how Scott Henderson and Michael Landau have tended to favour the SD-9, and each now has his own custom take on that circuit - Scott has the TWA SH9 Distortion, and Michael has the Vemuram Butter Machine Distortion!
30 of this PD #36 Chernihiv Sonic Distortion will be up for sale when this article goes live - on the Drunk Beaver Rocks Webstore - where they go for $150 / €150 / 559 PLN.
As another rapid prototyping release we don’t have an accompanying demo, and so I will reference one of the source pedal and other derivatives!
