So - early this morning Chase Bliss announced 2 new pedals. I already have the Reverse Mode C Multi-Direction Stereo Delay in original edition, while I recognise that this newer second batch / edition has a slightly more attractive colourway than the original Chase Bliss always said it would release another batch of the Revers Mode C - and the new edition looks glorious! What a gorgeous colour combination!
At the same time we have the brand new Lost + Found Multi-Modulator / Multi-FX - which allows you to combine Reverse, Pitch, Warp, Delay, Synth, and Bend Effects in various interesting combinations across the Left and Right Stereo Channels.
There’s a lot of secondary modes, parameters and modifiers here - which you can smartly mix up - it’s a surprisingly potent DSP Multi-FX - which delivers even greater results than the sum of its component parts!
Control Dippers
Polarity : R/F | Sweep : T/B | Bounce | R Time | R Modify | Blend | L Modify | L Time.
Customize Dippers
Bank | Trails | Unsync | R Sweep | L Swap | Latch | Spread | MISO.
Main Controls - RIGHT CHANNEL } Time R [Alt R], Modify A>B R [EQ R], Channel R Bypass Footswitch - Hold for Secondary Modifiers; LEFT CHANNEL } Time L [Alt L], Modify A>B L [EQ L], Channel L Bypass Footswitch - Hold for Secondary Modifiers; UNIVERSAL } Mix (Ramp) [Spill], Blend [Glue - Compression + Saturation], 1.Reverb, 2.Pitch, 3.Warp, Spread : L>R / L+R / L
Ports - 9V DC [-] 200mA, EXP / CV, TRS In, MIDI / AUX, TRS Out.
So on the Right Channel you have core Delay, Synth, and Bend Effects (A>B Variants) - which you further manipulate with Time [Alt], and Modify A>B [EQ] - and Secondary Parameters and Modifiers. Where you have a similar arrangement for the Left Channel - but with core Reverb, Pitch, and Warp Effects. Then a further Mix {Ramp) [Spill], and Blend [Glue - Compression and Saturation] Universal controls.
Actually - the 2 Modify Knobs give you A > B versions of each effect - per the following list - so you can separate or in effect blend the two options - which are as follows :
So rather than 6 core effects - we actually have double that at 12 - where with Modify - you select the appropriate accent or blend of those A>B Effects!
This reminds me a little of the Hologram Chroma Console - obviously in a smaller and more streamlined unit - but one where you fairly similarly combine a number of different Modulation, Spatial and Vector Effects in interesting combinations.
The Lost + Found is a very unique take on a Multi-Modulator / Multi-FX - and there will surely be a certain learning curve to it - getting used to the various different combinations - I’m very much looking forward to getting my hands on mine. I ordered mine at 06:37 BST this morning - fir the usual €469 from the Chase Bliss EU store (US : $399) - where these will ship sometime in September as far as I understand.
I read in some of the comments that some of the more typical Chase Bliss fans aren’t particularly excited by this innovation - while I certainly am!
