A slightly uneventful month in many ways - just the one event - the excellent sophomore Leeds Pedal Show - where I ended up picking up 3 pedals.
Some killer releases during the month, with a strong final flurry to make up the 10 notable article highlights. I’ve been very busy all month - and plenty of work has gone into this as usual, while there was somehow fewer large-scale rundowns and marquee features - more of that next month for sure.

It’s a little early to call, as I’ve only had this exceptional tremolo for a week or so now, but it’s one of those perfect executions with everything in the right place, and a really exceptional output profile. It may just be my favourite tremolo pedal to-date (#35!).

This has turned out to be the largest category for 2025 with 38 pedals in this selection. As I favour those pedals that I own first, and then the more pedalboard-friendly editions - inevitably there would be some casualties for the year. With the most significant of those being the larger format Meris Enzo X, and the Polyend MESS Multi-Effect Step Sequencer. I know there are some who favour each of those - but they just aren’t targets for me personally.
I always talk about having a lane - ...
Moth Electric has designed one of the best tremolo pedals to-date - which is incredibly well priced too at just $220 - and is due to start shipping on October 17th.
I have a fondness for Optical Tremolos - and of course Harmonic Tremolos in particular - and this M. Stellatarum covers all my favourite aspects of Tremolo - and adds a few more specialisms to the roster. You get a fairly unusual selection of Waveforms - matched to 4 distinct Tremolo Voicings - Treble Frequencies Only Tremolo, ...
