I have a real love for full-on and powerful fuzz pedals - that go to ’11’ and beyond. And I love several different Octave Fuzz circuits - including Octavia, Foxx Tone Machine. Super-Fuzz and Life Pedal - where this is another further distinct take with a somewhat expanded control topology.
Controls - Level, Fuzz (+80dB Gain), 3-way Low Pass Filter / Hi-Cut : Strong Hi-Cut / No-Cut / Mild Hi-Cut, Squelch / Gating : Strong / Off / Mild, Weigt (High Pass Filter Cutoff), Texture (Analog Octave).
You have distinct Low Pass and High Pass Controls - with a separate Texture / Analog Octave Intensity knob also. A lot of octave fuzz pedals have just 2 or 3 controls - where this one gives you somewhat expansive shaping abilities.
The Glaive Octave Fuzz is available right now from the Electronic Audio Experiments Webstore for $249 - I’m just waiting for it to come into stock at Joe’s Pedals in the UK - so I can pounce! Equivalent price in he the UK is usually £259.
My budget for he month is already long since blown - so hopefully these land in a week or so - where more funds should be available.
The Glaive sounds suitably impressive in the demos.
