EHX first introduced its Intelligent Harmony Machine in November of 2021, and 5 years later we now get a Mini / Pico edition of that circuit - with very slightly fewer controls, but all the main parts fully intact.
The new diminutive Harmony Machine is at $149 vs the original’s $241.50 - so a circa $90 saving - which is significant.
Controls - Volume, #Button : Normal / Sharp, Dry>Wet Mix, Key : C Major (A Min), C# Major (A# Min), D Major (B Min), D# Major (C Min), E Major (C# Min), F Major (D Min), F# Major (D# Min), G Major (E Min), G# Major (F Min), A Major (F# Min), A# Major (G Min), B major (G# Min), Interval : Octave Down, 6th Down, 4th Down, 3rd Down, 4th Up, 5th Up, 6th Up, 7th Up, Octave Up.
Press and hold the # button for one second to enable Dual Mode.
In Dual Mode the Pico IHM synthesizes two different intervals simultaneously. The intervals are incremented as you move the INTERVAL knob from minimum to maximum as follows:
You’re getting all the key elements from the original Intelligent Harmony Machine, no Poly Override button though, or separate Minor / Major switch - but in a much smaller form factor and for significantly less money.
The Pico Intelligent Harmony Machine is already listed or imminent at major dealers - where (as mentioned) it goes for $149 and equivalent. Not seeing any UK listings yet!
This one’s definitely something of a target for me - I always meant to get the original - but really like this one too - I’ve still to decide definitively whether the Nano or Pico version is best for me. Once I’ve decided that I will assign the relevant priority!
